Station Graphic Design Artworks

Client : Black Hat & Nimbus
Job : In October 2010, the City of Cape Town put out a call for proposals for artists and designers to create artwork on 13 of the new My Citi bus stations. Black Hat & Nimbus were commissioned to create artwork for 6 of the stations. ‘Our objective for each of these artworks was to create an aesthetically pleasing image or pattern from information related to the area immediately surrounding each station … Visually we were inspired by Chad Hagen’s nonsense infographics – we thought it would be a interesting challenge to create something using that concept, but with real data.
